We are Gordon Barber Funeral Directors on Oulton Road, Lowestoft. We have been supporting the community and providing fitting farewells from our Oulton Road funeral home since it opened in 2018. Our founder, Gordon Barber, was born in Lowestoft in 1922 and now has nine funeral homes across Norwich and Lowestoft. Our funeral homes are managed by his granddaughter, Rachael Barber. She ensures all of them provide the same high-quality facilities, care and compassion that Mr Barber wanted to achieve when he opened his first funeral home. With over 50 years of experience and knowledge of the local area, we can cater for your every wish and need. Whether you prefer a cremation, a woodland burial, or a traditional or religious funeral, we can arrange it. We will listen carefully to your requests and ensure you are comfortable and happy with all the arrangements. All the details will be personally overseen by our funeral director and your loved one will be well taken care of. If you need us we are only a call away. The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.
1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.
2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
