About Houston & Williamson Funeral Directors Houston & Williamson Funeral Directors was established in November 1900 by David Williamson along with Archie, Samuel and James Houston. In 1928, after the departure of Samuel and James Houston, the company name was changed to Houston and Williamson. Davey Williamson joined the firm in 1923 and was joined by his son Archi in 1947. Together they grew the funeral directors to be one of the most successful in Northern Ireland. Davey passed away in 1999, and his son Archie 10 years later in 2009. Early 2013 brought about a new chapter in the Houston and Williamson era with substantial renovation on the existing premises to provide families with modern day facilities. The team at our Glengormley funeral home will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and will arrange an individual and unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one. We have our own service venue on-site. Here at Houston & Williamson Funeral Directors we also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. This will protect your family from rising costs and remove uncertainty about your wishes. If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us in any of our funeral homes, or if you’d rather we can arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.
