Memories are honoured
You've probably found your way to this site because a loved one has died. Whether you are arranging the funeral, considering a granite or marble memorial, an international repatriation, ordering flowers or simply wanting some advice, we're here to help. At Mears Family Funerals our Managing Director Lisa McDermott, and her experienced staff, have been serving our local community for over thirty years. Across the South East and North Kent and around London we have twelve local Funeral branches namely Catford & Sydenham, Bromley, West Wickham, Ladywell & Lewisham, Biggin Hill & Westerham, Beckenham, Eltham, Orpington, Walthamstow and Blackfen & Sidcup as well as regional hubs in Aylesbury and Southampton. We are always on hand to offer advice on all aspects of arranging a funeral, repatriation or memorial for a loved one. Our Principles Mears Family Funerals, just like every company within The Steven Mears Group, is founded on three key principles: 1. Personal Service Mears Family Funerals are able to manage every element of the tribute to your loved one. From detailed funeral arrangements to the repatriation of the deceased, from personalised floral designs to the erection of a lasting memorial, we provide help and support at every step. We have, as a family, been caring for the Bereaved for four generations Yet, you'll only have to deal with one person, your local Manager, who will be available and responsible for ensuring that everything is as you want it to be. 2. Professional Staff We aim high in everything that we do. It's not easy ensuring that each manager has a thorough understanding of every service that we offer, and we are only able to maintain our personal service standards by employing good people and investing in them. We use professional training programs offered by trade associations such as the NAFD where appropriate, for example to keep abreast of the latest developments in important areas such as "green funerals" and the environment. But just as important is the specialist knowledge and customer service ethos that permeates the whole Group, encouraged and sustained through regular "best practice" meetings and staff secondments to other parts of the organisation. 3. Exceptional Value Throughout this site you will find detailed pricing information on each of our services, prices that we are proud to stand behind because we believe that they offer excellent value for money. Wherever possible, we have simplified pricing - for example, we offer a single memorial price regardless of where in the country it is to be erected. Similarly, we offer fixed price funerals for convenience. And where a variety of options makes it more difficult to work out the total cost, custom funeral prices for example, we have developed a funeral price estimator to help. Finally, where we are required to make payments to third parties (often called disbursements), we clearly indicate these fees which we charge at cost.
