From our funeral home on Rosebridge Way, Middleton & Wood Funeral Directors has been arranging beautiful funerals for the Ince and Wigan communities since the 1880s. Life with a loved one is truly precious and their funeral should be no different, this is something we understand, which is why we will tailor every aspect of the day to match your needs. Our priorities are to ensure the service reflects your loved one’s life and provide a beautiful send off, which is remembered by all friends and family.We are here for you – to help and support you and ensure you’re looked after with compassion and respect. Our tasteful, large reception area will help you to feel comfortable if you come to visit. We also have disabled access so all of the family can visit with complete ease. Our impressive fleet of funeral vehicles are here, so you can choose the form of transport you would like to use on the day.Originally we were based on Lower Wallgate Road before moving to this purpose built funeral home in 2008. We have a total of three funeral homes in Wigan, here in Ince and in Hindley and Golbourne.We understand this can be a difficult time, which is why we have a team on hand 24 hours a day. They will be able to answer any questions you have and give you advice. The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.

1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.

2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
