Mulligan's Funeral & Monumental Services Ltd is family owned and managed business, established in 1996 by the late Mr Brian Mulligan and it is still run by the Mulligan family today. Mulligan's is the only Independent Funeral Service in the Gorton & Reddish Districts. You are welcome to visit one of our funeral homes, or we can visit you in the more familiar surroundings of your home. We are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Every funeral we arrange is a personal tribute to the deceased. They believe that a funeral service does not end with the funeral service, every client is offered after care service, bereavement counselling, or advice on any other matter that may cause concern to bereaved families. In fact most days of the week you will see people who just call to say hello have a chat and a brew. We cover every aspect of funeral arrangements from burials to cremation service, memorial services, burial at sea, reparation too or from every part of the world. We cater for the largest funerals, horse drawn carriages black or grey horses, to the smallest. No matter what the arrangement, the deceased is the most important, and is treated with the greatest respect at all times. The loss of a loved one is something we all face in our lives. It is a difficult time and the last thing you need is the daunting task of organising the funeral. That’s why at Mulligan's Funeral & Monumental Services Ltd, we offer a service providing all aspects of funeral care and arrangements beginning from the moment you contact us. We believe in providing a service to help ensure arrangements are as stress free as possible, leaving you free to be with your family and friends. We arrange funerals that reflect and incorporate the wishes of the individual, family and friends. We can advise on cremations and burials, choice of coffins and flower arrangements. We can even arrange to have the service at home or other suitable venue instead of the usual crematorium chapel service. Whatever you choose we can help you arrange it all, even a suitable venue for a gathering afterwards with any catering needs that might be required. So whether it is a simple funeral, a traditional funeral, an alternative funeral or an extravagant occasion, we are able to provide you with a totally personal and completely bespoke service. All our staff are fully trained, professional, sensitive and with genuine compassion to help you. Rest assured your calls will be taken with complete confidentiality. We can also arrange for a home visit if you are unable to come to us. Nothing is too much trouble and we pride ourselves on the service we provide feeling privileged to be chosen to take your loved one on their final journey. Our aim is to carry out your requests with the utmost dignity and attention to detail.

Collecting and transporting the deceased person from the place of death (normally within 15 miles of the funeral director’s premises) into the funeral director’s care £260.00

The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.

1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.

2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
