We're there when you need us
Our Story Shayne has been in the funeral profession for over 30 years and has worked within the Norfolk and Sprowston area for many of them. Shayne attained his Diploma in Funeral Directing, and is very proud of this achievement. His wife Emma is also a Funeral Director and they have 3 children. A family run business with over 30 years experience in Funeral Services Shayne is honoured to have his eldest son Harry follow in his footsteps and join the family business - making Shayne Stork Family Funeral Services a 2nd generation local business. Their two other children Oliver and Abbie go to school locally in Sprowston, and Shayne would like to think they would also like to join him in the family business when they leave full time education. Giving back to the heart of the community Shayne and the team are passionate about supporting the local community, and will be selecting a local charity every year to work closely with and raise funds to support the good cause. Our most recent charity we proudly supported was Nelson's Journey, which is a fantastic local charity who help bring back smiles to bereaved children. It meant the world to us to be involved with the work they do for local children in Norfolk. If you are a local charity Shayne would love to hear from you, please get in touch by phone or email. Why choose an Independent Family Funeral Directors The independent funeral profession has a long and proud history of personal service to local communities. Carrying on the family tradition is a way of life for many independents funeral directors. Some of the oldest continuously operated businesses in Britain are family-owned firms, and they are deeply committed to upholding professional standards. In all forms of business today there are big, international companies that have made their profits by taking over small firms. The funeral profession is no exception, with many small businesses have been swallowed up by the giants. The trouble is, there usually isn't any change of name to tell you the difference. That makes it hard for you to distinguish between the family-owned firm and the conglomerate. Without asking, you might never know if the proprietors your family has trusted over the years continue to make the decisions which will affect the service you receive when you need to make funeral arrangements. Most of the small firms will put the word Independent on all signs outside the chapels and on any paper work to show that they are still family run. As an independent family run business, Shayne is able to keep the costs lower than larger companies and offer a friendly and personal service at what can be a very difficult time. Shayne is happy to visit families in the comfort of their own home to discuss your needs, provide on-going guidance and discuss funeral plans and requirements. By choosing Shayne Stork Family Funeral Services, you can trust we are a truly independent and family run business in Norwich. It is an honour to us to be able to support the local Norfolk community during the difficult time of losing a loved one and Shayne is dedicated to always offering a professional and caring service.
